I love my camera. If I wasn’t already married, I’d marry it. Although, I am married to the gifter of said camera, so that’s just as good. Right? Right.
Warning, amateur-photography-speak ahead. This shot is straight out of the camera, ISO 3200, f 20.0, shutter speed 1/500, focal length 55.00 mm. I love the ethereal quality of it, even though I feel like I need to do some tweaking with the brightness, softness, and color saturation. I really like the lack of contrast, due to the thick fog we had this morning, but I hate that there’s a house in the background. Totally lame-o.
And here’s one that I played around a bit with, brightening it just a smidge, reducing the contrast even more, and ever-so-slightly increasing the color saturation:
I can’t decide which one I like better, though, because the tweaked one loses some of the softness that I liked so much in the original shot, but the tree looks even creepier. That’s a tough call, usually creepy always wins. Just kidding.
What do you think? Anyone else dabbling in photography? Pointers, tips, life-changing experiences? Should I, indeed, marry my camera?
