1. The Guy Not Taken by Jennifer Weiner
2. Sundays at Tiffany’s by James Patterson
3. Mirror Mirror by Gregory Maguire: He is the author of the insanely popular Oz series, Wicked, Son of a Witch, and his third installment, A Lion Among Men. I have yet to read the second and third books of those, and since they were checked out at my local library, I had to whet my appetite with another Maguire novel. This one is, obviously, loosely based on Snow White and the Seven Dwarves, and, historically, the scandalous Cesare & Lucrezia Borgia. What I love about Maguire as an author is that he makes his novels a piece of work – at times they are tedious, and most often are difficult to follow, but when you finish it, it’s like a good meal: lots to chew on & digest. You’re always glad to have read it. (At least I am.)
Next up: Christ the Lord: The Road to Cana by Ann Rice (the vampire writer! What?!)
